Update on Buaft.com (16-Nov-2024)
The domain buaft.com no longer redirects to chandiapk.com, as I initially mentioned (it did yesterday, you can read the original blog post below). Instead it’s a blog with posts focusing on “earning money with little or no effort”, and it either sends users to a Google Play app that supposedly allows you to earn money doing some easy work, or to chandiapk.com.
Back to Buaft.com, right now the 2 most popular blog posts for earning easy money are actually clickbaits to send users to a Google Play app called Paidwork, or to a blog post on their other domain (ChandiaPK) where another app is mentioned, Click Peculi. About these money earning apps:
1. Paidwork. The first blog post that’s popular on buaft.com sends users to Google Play to an app called “Paidwork: Make Money”. It’s an app with 10m downloads, however most recent reviews say that it’s not a very good app. Why would you install Paidwork to do surveys, when you can just as easily try one of the other popular GPT sites (i.e. the ones mentioned above). Paidwork it’s no different, and a lot of reviewers are complaining either on the lack of available surveys, or on the fact that they cannot cashout:
2. Click Peculi. Now this is another Android app that supposedly allows you to earn money by watching videos and doing other things. In exchange you are rewarded with coins that can be redeemed for gift cards. Unlike Paidwork, this app isn’t available anymore on Google Play (geee, wonder why), and instead it’s only available as an APK download via APKpure. Still don’t recommend downloading it, especially since it’s not available anymore on Google Play.
Original post on Buaft.com:
I’ve recently seen a rise in searches for Buaft.com and Buaft Tiktok earning app (or Buaft app download) and it got me wondering why do people search for that. Visiting that website I find that it redirects to a blog called chandiapk.com which most likely snagged this domain after it expired. This is the first red flag, back in 2023 buaft.com was a domain where a teacher was publishing math tutorials and that seemed legitimate, with some educational content that’s still showing up on archive.org.
However, after a while non-math content started showing up, especially targeting TikTok earning methods (other than the official ones). That’s when it started to get shady.
Right now, the domain that buaft.com redirects to (chandiapk.com) has content published such as:
- Earn Money Online From S9 App
- Hamster Kombat Mining Bot
- Tiktok Earning Option Earn Money From Tiktok
You have to understand that there are no easy money earning methods using Tiktok or the other apps they mention (i.e. S9/Hamster Kombat). They add this content for SEO purposes to lure you into clicking and possibly installing some shady Android applications (most likely direct .apk files instead of official Google Play apps). The goal is to get traffic and finally convince you to click on ads.
What’s the second red flag when visiting that website where buaft.com redirects to? Well, they have no option for contact us, there are unsolved placeholders under About Us and a description such as “We write on applications used for both mobile and IOS Platforms”. Don’t be fooled, there aren’t any unofficial TikTok earning apps on Google Play that allow you to easily earn money by watching videos or whatnot. So there is no real “Buaft App” that you can download and start earning on TikTok by watching videos. It’s a scam similar to the one I presented here in the past: TikTube Scam
Why most TikTok earning apps are scams
I understand why a lot of users fall for this type of scam, because they do see a lot of popular people on TikTok (influencers) that indeed make money. But that’s a very small percentage of users. That’s why many apps and websites promise you can “earn while using TikTok” by performing tasks like watching videos, gaining followers, or creating content. However, most of these TikTok earning apps are scams, and here’s why:
- Too good to be true. Some of these apps claim you can earn hundreds or even thousands of dollars with minimal effort, for instance “Earn $100 a day just by watching TikToks”. If earning money was as simple as just scrolling down on TikTok, everyone would do it. So it’s a scam, stop falling for this.
- Fake payouts. There are some TikTok earning apps that somehow get temporarily on Google Play and trick users into installing those to start earning. And you do see a counter that shows lots of $$$ adding up into your account, however the trick is when it comes to payouts. When you try to cashout, the scam reveals itself. The app suddenly requires more verification, they add additional requirements (i.e. paying for a processing fee), support stops working and so on. It’s a scam that costs you money and time.
- Harvesting your data. TikTok earning apps often require you to link your TikTok account or provide personal information. The problem is that after you grant that, the scam app will have access to your data and will run other scams through your TikTok account or sell your data.
- AD bombardment. Some of these TikTok earning apps will tell you to complete tasks to earn money, while showing you a billion ads everywhere. They make money everytime they show you ads, while giving you nothing back in return as the payout is fake.
- Ponzi or pyramid schemes. Some apps supposedly give you rewards when you refer other users, promising that you’ll also get a share of what those users produce. That’s a pyramid scheme, where the original users might get a small reward but the vast majority of users will get nothing.
- No transparency. Just like the buaft.com redirect above, you won’t find any details regarding how the earnings are calculated, where does the money come from, who is the real owner of the app and so on. If it lacks transparency, it’s most likely a scam.
How to avoid falling for TikTok earning scams
To avoid falling victim to TikTok earning app scams just do a simple search for that app name on Google and look for reviews on trustworthy platforms. If it’s an Android app, look and see if it’s listed on Google Play, and what its rating is there. No listing or low rating means scam.
Also, never pay upfront fees for “processing” or give your bank details. That’s a clear sign of a scam. Stop believing over the top promises, if it’s too good to be true it’s not true.
There are legitimate ways to earn via TikTok, but only on the official tiktok.com site. They have a creators’ program that rewards coins for creating custom emoticons (sort of), they have a referral system and nevertheless they pay you for views.
Remember, real opportunities require real effort. Protect your time, data, and finances by staying informed and skeptical of apps that promise quick riches via TikTok or any other platform without substance. If you encounter a scam, expose it by publishing about that anywhere you can.
