Another year, another Halloween. No one really celebrates Halloween as crazy as US does, but just like the dreadful Valentine, more and more countries pick it up and push it for marketing purposes. I hate Halloween for one simple reason – it’s the beginning of the end. It means that winter is here and the year has almost gone by, yet another one. This is the scariest part about Halloween, reminding us that we’re getting old.
Anyway, leaving my optimistic views aside, Halloween is the time of the year when a lot of popular game studios launch update packs for their popular mobile games in Halloween style. It’s the case with the following 2 games I’ve already had fun with. Exploding Kittens 2 & Hidden in My Paradise.
Exploding Kittens 2 – Halloween update
Exploding Kittens sounds scary anyway, but a Halloween themed update sounds even scarier. Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment (devs behind the game) have launched something fun & strange for Halloween in their chaotic card game. If you feel lucky, you can win in a giveaway organized via Reddit a Mystic Mayhem pack.
Welcome to Madame Beatrice’s House
The highlight of this Halloween update? Madame Beatrice! Her eerie new mansion setting is not just a backdrop – it’s a key part of the mayhem. Madame Beatrice herself is a force to be reckoned with, a psychic with powers that could turn the tide of any round. She’s not just any mystical character either – her spiritual energy might just mess with your luck. If you’re feeling brave, you can even become the new Madame Beatrice with the special Outfit.
There’s a bit more. If you’re into monsters, the new Cauldron Creature Outfit lets you channel that Halloween monster energy in-game. Between the eerie vibes of Madame Beatrice’s mansion and the wild costumes, this update isn’t that bad.
Cards, outfits, and mystic mayhem galore
No Halloween update would be complete without some decked-out (pun intended) cards. The Mystic Mayhem Card Back is perfect for embracing the Halloween theme and is bound to make your opponents do a double take when you draw. Let’s not forget the spooky Mystic Mayhem Emoji Pack – while it’s a paid feature, it adds just the right amount of eerie fun to your gameplay. The price isn’t that scary, don’t worry, better pay for a digital item than invest in sweets that affect your teeth.
Show off your skills for exclusive rewards
They run some marketing promos too, sending posts via social media as Madame Beatrice, challenging players to survive a round of Exploding Kittens 2. Those who are brave enough to post their victory proof can snag a free code for the Explosive Expansions Pass.
